- Before repairs engine shakes and runs rough. Check engine light on. Scanned for codes 2 codes present. P02F1 – Cylinder 4 injector performance P0170 – Fuel Trim Bank 1 – Removed and replaced fuel injectors on passenger side of engine. Relieved fuel system pressure and disconnected injector electrical connectors and fuel rail connections. Removed injector return lines and high-pressure fuel supply tubes, discarding one-time-use components. Removed injector hold-down clamps and bolts, and extracted injectors using proper removal tooling. Cleaned injector bores and ensured no contamination entered the fuel system. Installed replacement fuel injectors with new O-rings, copper sealing washers, and return seals. Installed new fuel injector supply tubes (required one-time-use) and new hold-down bolts, torqued to specification. Reassembled fuel return system and electrical connections, ensuring proper routing and secure fitment. Primed fuel system and performed system checks. Verified proper engine operation, injector function, and confirmed no fuel leaks after repair.
- Installed customer provided fuel filter
- Replaced washer pump at no labor cost due to overlap with other repairs at same time. Installed new OE motor craft washer pump
- Inspect cooling system for leaks. Found coolant hose with quick disconnect fittings is crusty with dried coolant and leaking. – Sourced replacement hose and replaced. Topped off coolant and verified no longer leaking at this time.
